Let me explain why I said that. Once, I was logged in at a webmaster forum where web designers hang out regularly. I saw this web designer offering to give a free logo design service to one lucky member. At that time I was actually designing our church’s website for free, and I thought the free logo design offer would be a perfect compliment. There were other webmasters that posted their requests, hoping to be the lucky one chosen. My chances seemed slim considering the amount of requests already posted, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I replied in the forum thread about the need to have a logo designed for our upcoming church website. I also explained that I was doing it for free, without profit, and his free logo design offer would also help our small church a lot.
Long story short, my proposal was the lucky one chosen. When we finally contacted each other, I discovered that he actually went to the same church that one of my relatives attended and he knew them real well. Funny thing is, they live on the other side of the world!!
The internet community is a small world after all…
