Trazzler is a new online travel site that helps would-be travelers answer the question “Where should I go?” Trazzlers meander through a world of trips—hand-picked, concise, compellingly written slices of life that pull the reader into a real experience: a hotel stay, walk, adventure, spa, restaurant, ice cream stand, pony ride… really anywhere that travel can take you. And that’s where you come in. Each Trazzler trip is dominated by a photo that sets the scene so that your writing can tell the rest of the story. Our travel-writing philosophy is different from anything else out there, so be sure to study our Writing Guide.
Every month we hire at least 10 freelance writers to write blocks of trips about regional weekend destinations, more far-flung locales, or an “obsessions” beat that spans the globe (we love obsessions). For these gigs, we pay $250 for 10 trips or $500 for 20 trips (a trip should be between 65-150 words long). Note: we do not pay for individual trips at this time (though this could change).
Trazzler also has a monthly contest. The award is a $250 contract to write 10 trips.
As positions become available, we also hire Community Managers or Content Wranglers from our freelancer and contest winner pool for more regular, part-time monthly positions that pay $1000 per month. These jobs can entail writing trip pages, editing user submissions, and helping us to “wrangle” high-quality existing content from our partners into the unique Trazzler style and format.

3. Submit a sample trip (or various trips) by clicking on “Write a Trip.” (You must be signed in.)
4. Include the tag “freelance” in your trip so we can review your trips first and consider you for the open positions (and future opportunities, as well).
