If you have banner advertisements on your website, putting too much of them on one page can actually be detrimental to your website. We’ve come across websites where you can barely find out the page’s actual content. Why? Because the content is not only just a few paragraphs long but more importantly, stuck in the middle, surrounded by an overwhelming number of banner advertisements. There’s 2 or 3 banner ads on the top of the content, 6 banner ads on the left sidebar, 4 or more banner ads on the right sidebar, and then 3 or more banner ads at the bottom of the page. This is way too much!
Do you want to make your web page more relevant to your visitors? Then take it easy with the banner ads that you put up. Bombarding your web visitors with too much ads without providing any useful or relevent information otherwise just makes your website less effective; they’ll end up leaving your site to find another one with the information they need. How will your site help someone if they can’t even find your web content because it’s buried somewhere inside a complex maze of banner advertisements?!
So, what should you do? Concentrate on your content and put up a maximum of 2 banner advertisements along with it. That should be good enough already. And remember, search engines love sites with valuable content… so take it easy with those banner ads!

I like being able to distinguish between content and ads. If I need more info. I will click on an ad if it’s relevant to my search.
