The title tag of a web page is the first spot you need to make this effort. The title tag is often what the search engines use in their results pages, all or at least in part, right from the title tag itself. This is your first line of attack where you want to grab the attention of the reader.

Whether you are writing a report or a web page or any other written piece you need to realize how important the title is. Not only within the title tag itself, as on a web page, but also within the title of the article, story or page, itself. You still need to grab people’s attention to whet their appetite to read your story. The title, or heading as may be the case, will often pose a question and at the same time propose a solution. It is good to offer some taste of what is ahead.

Keywords alone are probably not going to grab your readers attention. You need to use some further wordage, and you need to sculpt it to be enticing. Some words will grab peoples attention faster than others. Expert writers say that you, results, health, guarantee, discover, love, proven, safety, save and new are all attention grabbing words. Accordingly, you, free, new and how are thought of as the most powerful of the group.
