JOB OFFER – Fashion Editors / Editorial Interns needed for Online Magazine

We are seeking to hire young, vibrant writers who have a flexible viewpoint on haute couture fashion, and naturally live vicariously through fashion websites such as fashionising.com or Vogue. We are not your average magazine. We strongly feel that green is the NEW black and live an eco-green publishing style.

Our editorial staff is one of a kind. We won’t say deadlines aren’t detrimentally important, but we can say that the environment you do it in is whatever you make it to be, and wherever you want it to be—work from home if you like! This is a luxury that takes part-time to a whole new level…skip the office and flip your Mac Book open from the comfort of your bed if it suits you.

POSH COUTURE Magazine is looking for writers who master:

-Meeting deadlines, some at the drop of a hat
-Brainstorming and enforcing Creative editorial topics, projects, and ideas
-Editing, editing, and more editing before going to press. Typos are seriously a pet peave of ours (find the typo in that sentence!
-Critical thinking. Developing fashion worthy news requires one to think outside the box!
-Editorial layouts, overseeing artwork and ensuring it fits the editorial segment
-Accuracy. Our writers must be tedious in checking and validating facts before publication!
-Relativity. POSH targets a unique audience–we therefore seek stories that “fit” who we are and what we’re about
-Research. All stories will require APA style referencing so that we may also solidify accuracy and originality.
-Photography. All this means is you must know what looks FAB and the who, what, where on how to get the file we need in the CORRECT format its needed in
-Attendance for all fashion photoshoots (in lieu of the Creative Director)
-Sustaining the Publisher’s vision for the magazine but attributing new ideas to influence a heightened profile
-Extroversion. Our staff is one of the most fun to work with, as we treat our staff like more of a family member than just an employee ID number.

This is a part-time position that is fit for an aspiring writer or student. Our main goal is identify an EIC and Fashion Editor, with 2-3 supporting writers. POSH will launch in less than 8 months, and we need a driven team that doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty and is willing to work hard for a future pay off. Our EIC and Fashion Editor will need to be open for both NYC Fashion Weeks in September & February. This is a position that provides an opportunity for a CAREER in fashion…we know Houston doesn’t offer much in this field, which is why Houston is our founding city to expand from. As POSH grows digitally, our staff does also.
