Myth #5: High PageRank Means Good Rankings

Myth #6: To Maintain Good Rankings, You Must Add New Content

MYTH #7: THE BIGGEST MYTH: Ranking In Google Is Difficult!

    These are myths, but some of them are true to an extent.

    Google doesn’t know all and they don’t see all, but they’re not dumb either and they can detect a lot of things we don’t think they can.

    You don’t need links from related sites to rank, but those links don’t help you much. Sites related to yours are best.

    You don’t need to keep writing new content to rank well, but it helps because you have more you can rank for and more content to help your other pages rank well.

    And of course, difficulty for ranking in Google (without blackhat methods) all depends on the keyword you’re going for and the competition you have. :)
